They are one of the three rookie groups that have set out to conquer the KPop scene this January, and with competition from the likes of sleek quartet F.Cuz (read: Focus) and nine member jauggernaut ZE:A/Children of Empire… this rock acoutic foursome is actually winning the first round of promotions. After a successfully showcase, they are being well recieved in many music programs recently.

The most recognizable probably is frontman Jung Yong Hwa, who enjoyed sudden popularity and instant household name status after acting as Kang Shinwoo in last year’s mania drama You Are Beautiful. His initial foray into the Korean entertainment world as the swoon worthy and warm Shinwoo hyung to Park Shin Hye’s cross dressing Go Mi Nam attracted lots of the first fans of CN Blue. But the three other members are no less impressive, each member plays their own intruments and have vocals addictingly reminiscent of old school Beatles. Code Name Blue consists of Jung Yong Hwa on guitar, Lee Jonghyun on guitar and vocals, Kang Minhyuk on drums, and lastly Lee Jung Shin on bass.

They maybe labeled as rookie singers in Korea, but this true blue boyband have actually been active in the Japanese music scene in the past year… they already have managed to release two mini albums independently.
