This is a meeting of epic proportions! Well, not exactly… but fans of the massive Boys Over Flowers, that dominated the first half of 2009 will recognize the star power of this certain idol. Kim Hyunjoong of boyband SS501 hasn’t really gotten past his image, mostly because of the wild success of his character Jihoo in the said korean drama. Affectionately called “Jihoo sunbae,” the actor/singer is basking from the extra popularity he recieved from fans.

The latter half of 2009 introduced another charming nice guy… in the latest mania kdrama You’re Beautiful, rookie actor Jung Yonghwa is gaining a steady fanbase as he plays the effortlessly supportive Kang Shinwoo, who is as much of a nice second lead guy as Kim popularized before.  Jung Yonghwa is also a boyband member, albiet a more indie one… his group CN Blue is currently active in Japan.

Korean reports that these two celebrities will now be seen together, as the new hosts of MBC Sunday Night.

Kim PD said during a press conference on 23rd November, “Kim HyunJoong and Jung YoungHwa will be for the new corner on ‘Sunday Night’ called ‘Korea Ecosystem Rescue Centre, Hunters’ to be aired on 6th December.”

This will be a corner where celebrity MCs will go out to capture wild boars. The PD added, “Even right now, the MCs are working hard with the qualified professionals capturing the wilde boars in KyeongSan IlRyeong. Every week, the 7 MCs will get training for about 2D1N and go out to hunt for the wild boars. This week it will be IlRyeong, and next week it will be in AhnDong.”
